SCI or TBI physiatry job in MO with picture of St. Louis Arch

    Responsibilities:      

  • 80% inpatient, 20% outpatient
  • See approximately 8-10 inpatients/day; inpatient at the Encompass Rehab Hospital
  • Can be mostly SCI, TBI or stroke
  • Also do consults or outpatient
  • This position will assist in the growth and expansion of the neuro rehabilitation program, including the elevation of our fellowship training program to ACGME accreditation. We practice in a collaborative and multidisciplinary academic environment, with opportunities to build an academic career that
    includes clinical care, teaching, research opportunities, and program development.
  • Clinical: Clinical responsibilities of this position include providing high-quality patient care primarily in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Besides moderate to severe traumatic brain injury, there is also the potential to participate in other rehabilitation services such as mild brain injury, cerebral palsy, and spasticity management.
  • Academic Instruction:
  • Academic responsibilities include active participation in, and commitment to, PM&R fellow, resident and medical student education, including:
  • Clinical training and teaching.
    Participating in conferences, journal clubs and related activities.
  • Research:
  • The faculty member will conduct research (clinical, basic science, translational and/or biomechanics), working with researchers within the department and across Washington University School of Medicine. Our department has a long history of research contribution, with a focus on treatment strategies and outcomes.

Compensation:         

  • Income guarantee of $240,000
