Facility & Department Features:

•25-bed SCIO rehab unit with full census

  • Appointment within the Department of Neurology
    • Clinical practice based at the Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute
    • Direct reporting to the Chief, Division of Rehabilitation Medicine

Responsibilities:

  • Provide inpatient (80% of the time) and outpatient(20% of the time; 2 half-day clinics/week) care focused on spinal cord injury and dysfunction
  • Rehab is rehab issues and consults
  • 12-24 patients/day
    • Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students
    • Participate in collaborative clinical research opportunities
    • Opportunity to expand into additional rehabilitation services, including spasticity management, prosthetics, and inpatient rehabilitation consultations

Call:

  • 1:6 weekends – 9 AM – 5 PM only

Compensation:

• Competitive base salary based on faculty rank and experience:
o Assistant Professor: $218,861 – $280,000
o Associate Professor: $234,546 – $321,940
• Additional incentive compensation through Department of Neurology faculty and variable compensation programs

Candidate Qualifications:

• Completion of residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation or Neurology
• Board eligible or board certified
• Fellowship training and board certification in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine required
• Interest or experience in clinical research preferred
• Eligible for academic appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level
