Facility Features: 

  • Loveless-UNM Rehabilitation Hospital is 62-beds and CARF-accredited in TBI, SCI and stroke with a 10-bed TBI unit
  • The University of New Mexico Hospital, the 618-bed affiliated acute care teaching hospital, is a Level I trauma center.  It is also home to the only certified burn unit and designated stroke center in the state.

 Responsibilities: 

  • Overall leadership, administration, and accreditation of the residency program
  • Foster excellence in education, clinical training, mentorship and faculty development
  • Supervise residents and medical students
  • Contribute to the didactic and clinical curriculum of the PM&R Residency Program

 Candidate Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a faculty member in an ACGME-accredited PM&R residency program
  • Board certified or eligible in PM&R
  • Meet all ACGME criteria for program director eligibility
  • Faculty rank and clinical focus within PM&R are flexible
  • Candidate may come from any subspecialty within PM&R
  • Demonstrated leadership in medical education, curriculum development and/or GME accreditation preferred
  • Previous experience as an Associate Program Director or Program Director preferred
  • Experience with ACGME Self-Study, citation resolution, or program expansion preferred
  • Scholarly activity in medical education, QI, or rehab research preferred
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
