Outpatient physitry job in Orlando with view of the Orlando lake

Practice Features:

  • 4 Board Certified physiatrists treating orthopedic/neurological conditions, brain injury, musculoskeletal injuries, EMG’s (brachial plexopathy, But no ALS), spine, and regenerative medicine
  • Good doctor and staff retention
  • Have marketing staff
  • Dedicated EMG rooms
  • MRI on-site

 Responsibilities:

  • 5 EMG’s/day-do the whole procedure with the help of a med assistant; willing to train to do EMG’s; NCV’s
  • If interested, can just do EMG’s
  • 2-3 medico-legal cases/week.
  • The practice has an attorney along with the physiatrist at any depositions. Their attorney looks at the subpoenas to see if there’s anything out of line.  The current physiatrist has only has 15 depositions in 5 years and came to court only 5 times.
  • Outpatient TBI; one of the practice’s physiatrists held several Director of TBI positions before joining this practice
  • Meds management but no opioids
  • Acute pain
  • Provide injections such as intraarticular joint, carpal tunnel, trigger point,
  • Get referrals from neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, family practice
  • Flexible schedule, e.g., can start work later if you need to drop off the kids at school or leave earlier and do dictation at home

Call:

  • None

Payors:

  • Variety of commercial payors, some personal injury,
  • NO worker’s compensation or Medicaid

Compensation:

  • Salary plus incentive

Benefits:

  • Malpractice, health, 2 weeks PTO, 1 week CME time and training
  • The benefits are negotiable for experienced physiatrists

Reason for opening:

  • A practice physiatrist is retiring

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Passion for EMG’s
  • Board Certified or Eligible physiatrists
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
