  • The outpatient clinic serves patients with a broad range of diagnoses including stroke, TBI, SCI, complex medical and orthopedic rehabilitation, and neuromuscular conditions

Responsibilities:

  • Primarily inpatient clinical practice focused on neurorehabilitation diagnoses.
  • The physiatrist is the primary doctor for the patients
  • See about 10-12 patients/day
  • Strong interest in spinal cord injury (SCI) or fellowship training in SCI is viewed favorably but is not a requirement
  • Opportunities to develop an outpatient clinical practice within the broader spectrum of PM&R scope of practice, in alignment with applicant interests and community needs.
  • Opportunities for inpatient consults at area hospitals are available.
  • Interest in teaching physiatry residents and medical students is required
  • Research opportunities with Washington State University (WSU), University of Washington, Eastern Washington University, University of Idaho, University of Montana, and Gonzaga University are available.
  • Eligibility for clinical faculty appointment at WSU Elson S Floyd College of Medicine and University of Washington Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Call:

  • Weekend inpatient call coverage is shared among members of the group (6-8 weekends per year).
  • Residents provide on-site 24/7 call coverage with attending available by phone.

Compensation:

  • Compensation is between $263,660 to $358,675 per year
  • The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, or extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them.
