Medical Director, Rehab Unit Physiatry with pircure of aerial view of Lewiston, ID

Location:

  • Located in northern Idaho
  • Lewiston is a vital, vibrant city part of the Quad Cities bordering Washington.
  • Outdoor activities abound in the Blue Mountains and along the Snake River.

 Practice Features:

 

  • 10-bed inpatient rehab unit at the largest medical center between Spokane, WA and Boise, ID
  • The unit is managed by a leading provider of acute inpatient rehabilitation services with more than 300 hospital-based rehabilitation units, medical/surgical and outpatient therapy settings and more than 30 joint venture inpatient rehabilitation hospitals across the country.

 Diagnoses:

 

  • CVA, TBI, SCI, debility trauma and hip fractures and other 60% CMS diagnostic categories

Responsibilities:

 

  • Inpatient; a hospitalist provides medical care

 Call:  

 

  • 1:2; hospitalist will help with call

 Affiliation:

 

  • Independent contractor or employee
  • Year to year contract, can go for multiple years

Compensation:

 

  • As an independent contractor – Fair market value for administrative services which is approximately $100,000 per year.
  • Plus professional receipts

 Payor Mix:

 

  • 80% Medicare/managed Medicare, 10% commercial insurance and 10% Medicaid
