 Practice Features:

 

  • 9-bed inpatient rehab unit expanding to 16 beds
  • The unit is managed by a well-experienced rehab management company which also owns rehab hospitals
  • EMR-Epic

 Responsibilities:

 

  • Inpatient; a hospitalist provides medical care
  • Can also choose to do consults at the acute care hospital
  • Can choose to provide outpatient services at the facility and at another nearby outpatient center

 Call:  

 

  • 1:2; hospitalist helps with call

 Affiliation:

 

  • Independent contractor
  • Year-to-year contract, can go for multiple years

Compensation:

 

  • Fair market value for administrative services plus professional billing receipts

 Payor Mix:

 

  • 80% Medicare/managed Medicare, 10% commercial insurance and 10% Medicaid
