Responsibilities:
- Heavy neuro, stroke patient population, minimal TBI or SCI
- Responsible for all aspects of care for rehab patients: admission, H&P, IPOC, team conference, 3 weekly face-to-face visits, discharge, and all other requirements for individualized care
- Help lead future structure and growth of unit
- Outpatient work also possible
- Academic faculty appointment also possible as they have a partnership with the U of GA pharmacy program and the Medical College of Ga’s internal medicine program; family practice medical students and residents rotate at this hospital system
- Research work also possible as they’re affiliated with Emory research
Call:
- Call is only for PMR work as hospitalists cover medical issues
- The hospital is working towards 1:4 call as they’re talking with internists and more APP’s and have hospital administration support to hire 2 physiatrists
Compensation:
- $325,000+ and $50,000 Medical Director stipend
