 Responsibilities:

  • Flexibility with your schedule- options for a typical rehab schedule or a flexible 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off schedule rotation available.
  • Work in 40-60 bed freestanding rehab facilities.
  • Part-time would be 2 – 3 days/week
  • 30-40 patients/day (depending on census)
  • 24/7 IM coverage
  • In Lafayette and Carmel the physiatrist is the consultant, not the primary doctor for the patients. ln Mishawaka, the physiatrist is the primary doctor and the Medical Director
  • Carmel -Medical director; 40 bed IRF managed by Nobis Rehabilitation Partners. Carmel is a GREAT area- the best area in the Indianapolis area. Beautiful new facility (opened in Jan 2021).

Call:

  • In Lafayette and Carmel, the IM team takes call in the evenings after 5 and on weekends. PM&R takes all preadmission screening-related calls for admissions.
  • Mishawaka – No call. IM takes over call after 5 pm and on weekends.

 Compensation:

  • Competitive compensation based on production.
  • Medical Director stipends typically ranging from $120,000 to $150,000, with assistance in negotiation.
