HEALTH SYSTEM FEATURES:

  • Health system of 17 hospitals in West Virginia
  • The current, 24-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility is located at a hospital campus which has a Level 1 Trauma Center, comprehensive Stroke Center, and Orthopedic Trauma Center, serving a population of over 750,000 residents
  • JCAHO and CARF-accredited rehabilitation center, with an average daily census of 18.
  • Plans to build a new, 50 bed rehabilitation hospital with outpatient physiatry and therapy clinics connected via a walkway to the CAMC General Hospital, enabling seamless access to its comprehensive medical services
  • They offer a broad spectrum of diagnostic, medical, surgical, and rehabilitative services and have a built-in referral system.
  • 650 inpatient admissions annually and a range of active outpatient programs and services

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Medical Director role provides the unique opportunity to lead and shape the future of the new rehab hospital, fostering innovation and excellence in patient care
  • Provide inpatient care and physiatry consults as well as the opportunity to build an outpatient practice based on area of interest
  • Primary doctor for the patients
  • See approximately 12 – 15 patients/day
  • Can participate in didactics

CALL:

  • Weekend call or if seven-on, seven-off, then seven days
  • Plans are to have 4 physiatrists so call will be shared

COMPENSATION:

  • First year salary if desired
  • wRVU-based production at $61.88 which equals approximately $330,000+ plus
  • 10% bonus paid out per year if system, medical group & specific doctor meets goals – based on your yearly salary
