Locum tenens sports medicine physiatry job, Full- or part-time for 90 – 120 days, possible permanent employment thereafter, VA & MD

Work locum tenens at this premier sports medicine physiatry practice in the great location in northern VA!

Time Frame:

• Full-time or part-time
• Part-time is at least 2 days/week
• Work 90 – 120 days

Location:

• Work 1 day in southern Maryland
• Work remaining time in northern Virginia
• See patients from MD and the Washington, D,C. metropolitan area

Practice Features:

• Successful, 15-year-old, 2 Board Certified physiatrists private practice
• Specializes in treating orthopedic sports medicine-related injuries and pain associated with the spine, joints, muscles, and nerves
• 75 % or more of the patient load is msk sports, with ultrasound diagnosis and needle guided procedures
• The physiatrist there does a lot of hydrodissections, and dx tendon injection, treatment plans, etc., the rest is regenerative for joints, tendon, muscle etc. most spine. The doctor refers out to spine if some basic treatments the doctor does aren’t helpful along with PT
• Alot of SIJ- hip, lower lumbar. It depends on what is the reason for pain, but often gets them better without needing interventional spine from the traditional point of view
• The practice takes a whole-body holistic approach to health and wellness. The goal to provide patients with a comprehensive health care plan that incorporates lifestyle awareness, exercise, nutrition and pain management.
• Also a staff team physician for a premier sports medicine group in Washington, D.C.
• NP and PA on staff
• The practice does procedures by US, not by spinal fluoroscopy
• Rehab, sports medicine, MSK
• No meds management
• US in every room
• The practice utilizes cutting-edge technologies, minimally invasive techniques, and regenerative therapies

Responsibilities:

• MSK, US-guided injections, ideally also provide regenerative services but not required
• Do procedures every day
• Evaluate and treat new patients to include doing trigger point injections

• Independent contractor

Candidate Qualifications:

• Board Certified/Qualified physiatrist with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• MSK trained, US trained, and familiarity with regenerative ideal
• A bright and motivated team player
• Compassionate, patient-oriented physiatrist
