Interventional physiatry job in northern NJ with picture of view from northern NJ to Manhattan

Practice Features:

  • Growing multispecialty spinal injury practice
  • 2 pain anesthesiologists, 2 physiatrists, 1 orthopod, 1 neurologist, 1 neurosurgeon, 1 NP
  • 6 offices- North Bergen (main office), Clifton, Englewood, West Orange, Totowa, and Succussunna

Responsibilities:

  • Provide evaluation and treatment to patients with spinal cord injuries, spinal disorders, and chronic pain conditions
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that meet the individual needs of each patient
  • Perform interventional spinal treatments including injections such as cervical epidurals, facet joint injections, and radiofrequency ablation
  • Willingness to travel: 25% (preferred).  Spend about 75% of your time in North Bergen and 25% spread between the other offices per week
  • Procedures done under fluoro at off-site surgicenters located in Lyndhurst, West Orange, and Succussunna (you would only go to Succussuna twice/month)
  • There are days that you would be in North Bergen in the morning and for example Clifton in the afternoon.
  • Distance between office as follows:
  • North Bergen to Clifton- 13 miles
  • North Bergen to Englewood- 7 miles
  • North Bergen to Totowa- 18 miles
  • North Bergen to West Orange- 18 miles
  • North Bergen to Succasunna – 45 miles
  • Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each patient
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of physiatry and pain management
  • Monday to Friday 9 – 5:30, no nights, no weekends

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Highly-motivated Board Certified or Qualified physiatrist with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and have a passion for providing top-quality care to patients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) and other relevant software
  • High volume of Spanish speaking patients at their North Bergen location so a Spanish speaking physician would be ideal
