 Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with acute, subacute, and chronic pain, including musculoskeletal, spinal, neuropathic, and complex regional pain syndromes.
  • Perform a wide range of interventional procedures such as epidural injections, facet joint injections, nerve blocks, joint injections, spinal cord stimulators, and other minimally invasive pain management treatments.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to develop personalized treatment plans that may include interventional techniques, physical therapy, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Monday – Friday work schedule
  • Provide education and counseling to patients regarding pain management strategies, treatment options, and preventive care.
  • Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in pain management, including new interventional procedures, pharmacological treatments, and evidence-based practices.
  • Participate in continuing medical education (CME) activities to enhance clinical knowledge and maintain licensure.
  • Foster a compassionate and patient-centered approach, ensuring excellent communication and building trusting relationships with patients and their families.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Skilled and compassionate physiatrist or anesthesiologist
  • Fellowship Training:Completion of an accredited interventional pain management fellowship or equivalent clinical experience in interventional pain procedures.
  • Licensure: Active state medical license (or eligibility for licensure) in [insert state].
  • Skills and Experience: Proven experience in performing interventional pain procedures such as injections, nerve blocks, and spinal cord stimulator trials.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with a multidisciplinary approach to pain management, including physical therapy, behavioral health, and medication management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with medical staff, patients, and families.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.  Ability to manage complex and diverse patient populations with varied pain conditions.
  • Additional certification or training in interventional pain management procedures or advanced pain management techniques.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
