  • Primary provider for the Medical Center which has a 41-bed rehab unit
  • Average daily census – 35
  • Physiatry private practice group with 2 NP’s
  • The patients all have hospitalists or private doctors who follow them daily
  • 2 rehab units in the hospital, one with an ADC of 22 and the other with an ADC of 18

 Responsibilities:

 

  • Can do your choice of the amount of inpatient and outpatient
  • Admitting and attending responsibilities; hospitalists and specialists are available
  • Mostly rehab and subacute
  • A typical day would include AM huddling, morning rounds and writing notes, doing admissions and discharges and seeing patients in the office depending on the day of the week
