Practice Features:

• An energized, growing and close-knit 4-person physiatry practice with a focus on inpatient rehabilitation medicine
• Mmission – to restore patients’ function so they may regain their independence
• Provide rehab care in a multitude of settings including acute inpatient rehab, subacute rehab, and acute care hospital
• Predominately serving the Gwinnett County area

Responsibilities:

•Initial primary focus will be:

    • acute care consults (and follow-up visits) at Piedmont Eastside [providing general PM&R recommendations, as well as patient discharge disposition/level of care]
    • Act as the attending/admitting doctor
    • SNF/SAR consults
    • coverage for other practice providers

Resources:

 

  • Remote documentation capabilities for all acute care hospitals
  • Internal medicine consultation at each IPAR facility
  • Access to mid-level support/documentation assistance

Call:

  • 1:4 weekend covering two acute inpatient rehab hospitals (approx. 50 beds in total if at capacity)
  • Holiday coverage divided amongst providers

Compensation:

• Competitive salary (from $275,000 per year) with potential for productivity bonus or possibly negotiate a straight salary, if preferred

Candidate Qualifications:

• A driven, adaptable, passionate, compassionate physiatrist who shows initiative
• Board certified (or eligible to sit for the PM&R board exam)
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, general facility processes and procedures, plus preventative measures (HIPAA confidentiality, infection control, etc.)
• Provide quality, patient-centered care
• Exemplary oral and written communication skills
• Comfortable with healthcare documentation
• Experience in building and maintaining positive client relationships
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
• Critical thinker who learns quickly
