Practice Features:

The practice offers general physiatry services, pain management to include chronic and neuropathic pain and PT on-site
3 offices – Hempstead, Bellmore and Westbury
The practice provides general PM&R consults, msk, pain consults, EMG’s, epidural procedures and PT
The practice owner is Board Certified, has 20+ years’ experience

Responsibilities:

2 – 3 days/week
Work in Hempstead and Bellmore; the offices are within close range of each other
Start January, 2022
General outpatient physiatry
See approximately 25+ patients/day
Initial and follow-up evals
Order diagnostic testing such as MRIs
Order and interpret EMGs
Prescribe for in-office PT
Trigger point injections nice but not necessary
Refer to outside orthopedic, spine, pain and neurologists
No call, no weekends

Payors:

NY No Fault, Workers compensation, personal injury, BCBS, 1199

Compensation:

Competitive compensation; salary per hour
Part-time – Possibility of malpractice insurance

One of the doctors is retiring

Candidate Qualifications:

Board Certified physiatrist with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Active NY State medical and WC licenses
