Facility Features:

  • 12-bed rehab unit at a 243-bed acute care hospital; licensed for 18 beds
  • ADC=10
  • The Department of PM&R has nine full-time physiatrists and a newly accredited 16-position four-year categorical residency training program
  • As a major teaching affiliate of New York Medical College, 3rd and 4th year medical students rotate on site for their required PM&R clerkship and for electives as do PGYIII PM&R residents for 4 months/year
  • Faculty maintain academic appointments within the School of Medicine

Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility for inpatient rehabilitation care, with the opportunity to perform outpatient duties as desired
  • Perform consultations and act as the primary physiatrist for patients within the rehab unit
  • Collaborate with hospitalists for specialized consults when needed
  • Provide leadership to support and develop the rehab services and its multidisciplinary team
