Associate Medical Director, Rehab physiatry job in Tucson with picture of the AZ Desert

Practice Features:

  • High patient volumes-80 bed freestanding rehab hospital; ADC=60-65
  • There will be you and another physiatrist there plus another physiatrist available to cover weekends

Affiliation:

  • Independent contractor
  • Set up a relationship with an independent billing company – there are resources available to educate you on the process as well as setting up your professional corporation
  • Retain 100% of your own billing and collections.

Responsibilities:

  • Currently the Staff PM&R is consulting and the IM is Attending
  • Caseload of 15+ for revenue of $240k
  • A caseload of medically complex inpatient rehabilitation patients and an outpatient rehabilitation practice if he or she chooses.
  • Be extremely busy with high patient volumes

Call:

  • No call
  • Work 1:3 weekends doing admissions

Compensation:

  • Relocation
  • Income guarantee of $240,000 for a year.  If you stay 3 years, then there’s no payback in the case when they’ve paid more than you’ve earned

Candidate Qualifications:

  • MD or DO with state medical license or willingness to obtain state license
  • Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
  • Patient-centered commitment to excellence
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Hospital-based physiatry experience preferred but not required
  • Interest in being a part of a thriving community
