If you’re newer to skilled nursing/post-acute medicine, we’ll teach the clinical rhythm and operational flow so you can ramp quickly and practice confidently.

The Region: Living in Florence, South Carolina:

Florence offers a vibrant, livable community with big-city conveniences, lower cost of living, and excellent regional access—without the daily congestion and overhead of larger metros.
As a regional hub, Florence provides the day-to-day amenities that matter—healthcare infrastructure, shopping, dining, and services—while maintaining a smaller-city feel and easier commutes than larger markets. The city’s downtown main street recently received the prestigious national “Great American Mainstreet” award, which is reflected in community events, local businesses, and an active civic core.
Geographically, Florence is well positioned for travel and weekend access. It sits at the intersection of I-95 and I-20, making regional trips straightforward. The coast is close enough for frequent day trips (about an hour to Myrtle Beach), and Charleston and Columbia are both accessible for dining, culture, and airports when needed.
For physicians who value space and outdoor access, Florence also works well for “country living with city proximity.” Many residents live just outside town for more land and privacy while remaining near everyday conveniences. Equestrian options exist locally, and South Carolina’s most established horse communities—such as Aiken and Camden—are within reasonable driving distance for deeper equestrian culture and events.
Overall, Florence is often attractive to relocating clinicians because it combines a safe, small-town feel with practical access to larger destinations, coastal recreation, and a growing local community.
