Medical director skilled nursing facility physiatry job with picture of buffalo, NY

Practice Features:

  • A physician owned, premier national private physiatry practice

Responsibilities:

  • As the dedicated medical director of rehabilitation, you’ll play a pivotal role by offering your expertise in physiatry to their affiliated skilled rehabilitation facilities
  • Manage complex physiatric-related medical conditions in the SNF and LTC population
  • Perform specialized procedures such as large joint injections or Botox
  • Provide oversight and support to the team of APPs
  • Take on minimal administrative duties: attend monthly quality meetings, occasionally conduct an in-service for staff, and liaise with the referring facilities to educate about the physiatry programs they offer at these facilities
  • Average daily workload: Approximately 6 hours.
  • Patient Interaction: Seeing 16-20 patients daily, with rounds typically consuming 2-3 hours.
  • Flexibility: Notes may be completed from home.

Compensation:

  • Estimated total compensation between $300,000 to $400,000 which includes a $250k base salary PLUS
