Responsibilities:
- Inpatient and outpatient at a 26-bed rehab unit
- Physiatrists serve as admitting and attending physicians for all patients
- PA or NP support provided for all inpatients
- Small acute care consult service has great potential and room for growth
- Develop an outpatient practice in your area(s) of interest
- Preadmission screening duties for the hospital
- Attend hospital and practice meetings as requested
- Possibility for growth in the near future at nearby facilities
- Call coverage
- 1:7 weekend average, work with PA/NP, 7-10 average admissions per weekend + follow-up visits and discharges
- 1st call 4 days of your call week; 2nd call 3 days of your call week
Compensation/Benefits:
- Competitive salary plus bonus
- Bonus is determined by the performance of both the physician and the group
- Comprehensive benefits package including 1 week CME, health/dental insurance, disability/life insurance, 401K with match, CME allowance, and HSA
- 4 weeks’ vacation
Candidate Qualifications:
- BC/BE in PM&R. If BE, must be within 2 years of residency completion
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Comfort in managing the medical and rehabilitation needs of patients in the inpatient rehab setting
