- About an hour drive to Newnan, GA which is a southwest suburb of Atlanta, and Peachtree City, both upscale communities
Practice Features:
- An energized 4-physician physiatry practice with a focus on inpatient rehabilitation medicine serving several counties
- Mission – to restore patients’ function so they may regain their independence
- Provides rehabilitative care in a multitude of settings (inc. acute inpatient rehab, subacute rehab, acute care hospital)
Responsibilities:
- Provide consults at a Rehab Hospital and 2 acute care hospitals with a physiatrist and a NP
- The Medical Director at the Rehab Hospital is an internist who handles the patients’ medical needs while the current physiatrist takes care of the patients’ rehab needs.
- Also do consults at 2 acute careh ospitals which are within a few miles from each other as well as from the Rehab Hospital. Typically see about 4 – 6 new consults/day total
- Total of 500 acute beds. The work includes disposition planning for managed Medicare patients
- Flexibility to rotate with the current physiatrist between work at the Rehab Hospital and the acute care hospitals
Resources:
- Remote documentation capabilities for all acute care hospitals
- Internal medicine consultation at each IPAR facility
- Access to mid-level support/documentation assistance
Call:
- 1:6 weekends at the Rehab Hospital, shared with the current physiatrist and 4 internists
Compensation:
- Competitive salary (from $275,000 per year) with potential for productivity bonus; or possibly negotiate a straight salary [if preferred]

Candidate Qualifications:
- A driven, passionate physiatrist who can critically think, is adaptable, and shows initiative
- Board Certified (or eligible to sit for the PM&R board exam)
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, general facility processes and procedures, plus preventative measures (HIPAA confidentiality, infection control, etc.)
- Provides quality, compassionate, patient-centered care
- Exemplary oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable with healthcare documentation
- Experience in building and maintaining positive client relationships
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively and efficiently
- Will consider 2026-graduating residents
