Responsibilities:

  • Consults, outpatient and inpatient
  • Round on inpatients each AM, 1 day/week do inpatient admissions, 1 day/week do consults at a trauma center, and the remainder of the week provide outpatient services to your preference
  • Physiatry attends roughly 85 of the 115-beds and the remaining (Cardio-pulmonary including their vents) are attended by critical care docs with physiatry consultation. They have contracted with an IM group who provides 24×7 medical coverage for the physiatry patients.
  • Treat orthopedic injuries, amputation, and stroke- and provide outpatient follow-up for these populations
  • Consults
  • Treat routine outpatients with musculoskeletal issues like lower back and/or neck pain, and myofascial pain
