 Rehab Unit Features:

  • See approximately 15 inpatients/day

  • Be the attending doctor taking care of the patients’ medical needs with specialty consults available

  • Can help facilitate the growth of the neurorehab program; there’s a good working relationship with LSU Medical Center’s neurosurgery doctors as the health system is the Medical School’s largest private partner; do rounds with the neurosurgeons
  • Can also do about 12 beds at a 24-bed SNF which is on the same campus as the acute care hospital; there are internists there so no primary medical management
  • Can also do outpatient care to include wound care, spasticity, etc.


  • Hospital employee or join the local solo private practice physiatrist who is from the area and whose brothers practice there as did his father



  • Board Certified/Qualified physiatrist with excellent interpersonal and communications skills; A team player
  • Open to 2017 graduates
